AutomationWare has been dedicated to research on high-performance robotic joints to produce collaborative robots controlled in an ROS environment which, thanks to EtherCat, enables the real-time connection of applications such as Movelt.

These joints offer the possibility of large movement torques and absolute position, while guaranteeing safety measured by the redundancy of load sensors and vibrations:

• T-Actuators are gearless rotary actuators that ensure high speeds, ideal for SCARA compositions, are controlled by 20-bit absolute encoders, and can also be controlled by ROS and available in sizes 110, 140 and 190 (other sizes on request).
• J-Actuators are robotic couplings available in 5 sizes, from 14 to 32, controlled by ROS and are completely safe thanks to torque control, torsional rigidity and contact detection. The J-Actuators couplings have 2x20-bit encoders that enable precise positioning with a resolution of 1,000,000 levels over 360°.

Control via EtherCat enables management of the motor and the measurement of a considerable amount of data in real time.
