Cylindrical Roller Bearings

With cylindrical roller bearings, the rollers are guided by integral flanges on one of the rings.

The ring forms a solid unit with flanges, rollers and a cage, which can be removed from the other ring.

This characteristic facilitates assembly and dismantling operations, especially when load conditions require interference fit for both rings. These bearings are slightly tapered at the ends. Thanks to the resulting variation in linear contact between the rollers and the tracks, damaging concentrations of pressure are avoided at the edges.
